The Harp is a timeless musical instrument that has a rich history dating back to ancient civilizations in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Its popularity soared during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, with various adaptations and advancements being made in Europe and even reaching Latin America through colonialism. Although some ancient harp variants have faded into obscurity, their descendants are still cherished and played in Myanmar and parts of Africa. Additionally, musicians in modern times have revived and utilized defunct harp variations from Europe and Asia.

Harps come in an array of sizes, with smaller ones being played on the lap and larger ones resting on the floor due to their weight. The materials used for harp strings can range from catgut to nylon to metal or a combination of these. While all harps consist of a neck, resonator, and strings, frame harps incorporate a pillar for added structural support, while open harps like arch harps and bow harps lack this feature. Contemporary harps also offer various techniques to enhance their range and versatility, such as adjustable levers or pedals that modify the pitch mid-performance, allowing for the inclusion of sharps and flats. The pedal harp, renowned for its role in Romantic music and beyond, holds a significant place in orchestras.

The Harp Real is a simulated lever harp (also known as Celtic Harp) with 27 strings. It emulates the lever feature found in this type of harp. The frequency range of this virtual instrument extends from C3 to A6#.

You can choose between two modes when playing: Normal mode or RealTime mode.
